Optimised for High-Resolution Audio, S-Master HX minimises distortion and lets you enjoy all of the subtleties in your music. There is a 9mm dynamic driver that is installed into the earbuds that maintains drive force for deep bass and clear mids without dropping off like other drivers, while the airtight Balance Armature driver gives you natural high frequency sound for so much longer. These two drivers work together to keep sound response steady across the frequencies.

DSEE HX

The DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine HX) feature in these headphones upscales compressed digital music files, which ultimately brings them closer to the quality of high-Resolution Audio. Sony has developed and built in a small pressure sensor and this is used to monitor your altitude whilst in the air. A shift in altitude is known to disrupt the frequency balance of the headphones, not only that but it also affects the sensitivity of the microphones used for noise cancelling. When you turn this feature on, you can eliminate background noise of the plane and other passengers and feel like it’s just you and your music. You can also enjoy no noise with wireless freedom. These earbuds are made to fly, however if you no intention of doing so then no worries as the noise cancelling feature is made for everybody.

This feature automatically detects what activity you are doing and then modifies ambient sound settings to you. By downloading the ‘Sony Headphones Connect’ app, these earbuds can tell if you’re travelling, walking or waiting and choose how much of background you can hear. Or you can find your perfect sound tone for every song from the presets, which can be easily changed to meet your preference.

Installed in Sony’s earbuds is all new LDAC audio technology, which allows you to enjoy high quality wireless audio via bluetooth.
